For a good while now I’ve wanted to make myself a star crown out of wire, who knows why or where such an idea came to me, but sometimes you’ve just got to roll with it.
Have I an occasion to wear said star crown to, I hear you cry? Nope, sometimes I just wear it around the house so that I feel extra sassy doing household chores.
Give it a go!
YOU WILL NEED:
Floristry wire
Glitter paper
Glue Gun
Scissors
A pencil
STEP ONE:
Draw a few different sized stars on the back of your glitter card. I choose to do three large and six small stars in different colours of glitter; white, pink and silver.
STEP TWO:
Cut out your glitter stars
STEP THREE:
Make a circle with the wire that fits around your head like a halo, cut with pliers or scissors then wrap to create a clean, neat circle.
STEP FOUR:
Cut shorter lengths of wire, around 12cm long.
glue one end to the back of your stars with the glue gun. Wrap the other end of the wire around the circle of wire at the front.
Add a blob of glue to the ends of the wires so that they don’t hurt your head.
Continue to wrap and glue until you have your desired crown.
STEP FIVE (OPTIONAL!)
Lie on the floor or with an attractive background and take a selfie. I edited mine with the Colorstory App then posted to Instagram.
Or place on head and swan around the house like the queen you are!
