Is the scrap box overflowing? I don't know about you but I can't bare to part with any vinyl - no matter how tiny! If you're wondering what to do with all those scraps, I have some ideas for you...
LAY YOUR SCRAPS ON THE MAT
Lay strips of scrap vinyl onto the mat to create a single piece of vinyl your can cut your design from, this gives a fabulous multicoloured look to your projects!
MULTICOLOURED VINYL DESIGN
Vinyl decals can look SO much more beautiful when lots of colours are used. Although it may take a little more time, I think the reward is so worth it! With your tiny scraps, why not make sure the rabbit has a pink nose and white fluffy tail? Or the stars on your celestial design are holographic? Use up those scraps and make your designs super special by mixing it up!
USING PUNCHES
Dig through the craft supplies and grab those punches! Using metal punches is a super quick and effective way to get the most out of your tiny vinyl scraps. Make quick stickers or embellishments for cards!
ITS ALL IN THE DETAIL
Little hidden details can make garments so special. Why not add a little motif to the sleeve of a top or jacket?
GO FREESTYLE!
If you're feeling super crafty, why not go freestyle with a pair of scissors and make your own shapes? Quirky cut outs could be a great addition to your card making or iron on vinyl projects.
DON'T FORGET SNAP MAT
Snap Mat is a fantastic function on Cricut Design Space that will help use all of those scraps in the easiest way possible. Just pop your scraps onto your mat and take a picture via the Design Space App with your phone or tablet. The Design Space App will read your mat and then allow you to place your cuts where you need them to get the most out of your left over vinyl. Genius!
