DIY PLASTIC CHARM NECKLACE

I used to make these necklaces a lot when I had my Jewellery business- Jewell Emporium and thought it was about time they had a moment in the DIY spotlight! You can easily buy a bag of these plastic charms on eBay, and get making!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Plastic Charms

  • Jump Rings

  • Pliers

  • Necklace Chain

STEP ONE:

Take a jump ring (that the silver ring with an opening you see holding most jewellery together) and open it up using the pliers. Thread it through your charm and then through a link on the necklace. Start at the centre and work out so that your charms lie nicely.

STEP TWO:

Kepp repeating step one, until all of your charms are on your necklace, don’t be afraid to make them as full as you can, the more the merrier!

It’s really that simple to make! Add to an outfit for an extra bit of zing!

Hey, man! I think that if you are not a professional, at home it is very difficult to identify if the stone is precious or not. Recently I have bought a tourmaline that happened to be a synthetic ruby instead. So you must have a good magnifier and know what to check. Also, I use an ultraviolet check for some stones. That helped me identify a fake amber one day. But in general I prefer to buy a well-known jewelry brand from places I trust. Because when you are buying jewelry, it becomes very important.

That looks good but incredibly cheap. I would recommend you to add pearls to this composition and make the necklace whole, not just comver the front part.
