DIY NO CARVE GLITTER PUMPKINS

Emma Jewell

Pumpkins!!!! I love getting a pumpkin ready for Halloween, who doesn’t! This year I’ve been obsessing over beautiful no-carve pumpkins on Pinterest for what seems like months. No-carve pumpkins are exactly what they say on the tin there is no carving involved, not only are they easier and less dangerous they are massively on trend this year.

Obviously, I wanted to get in with this fabulous Halloween trend, so here is my take on a no carve pumpkin, unsurprisingly it involves GLITTER and lots of it.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Glitter

  • PVA glue

  • Spoon

  • Pumpkin

  • Small bowl

STEP ONE:

Pour PVA glue into a small bowl.

Add black glitter and give a good mix with your spoon, best to designate a spoon to glueing and crafting as you might not want to use this one for eating again!

STEP TWO:

Mix in glitter of your choice, I have stuck to a traditionally spooky collection of colours.

STEP THREE:

Add a little water to your glue to ensure the consistency is still thick but also runny. It needs to be the consistency of treacle to allow it to drip down the pumpkin very slowly.

STEP FOUR:

Using the spoon pour glue over the top of the pumpkin and allow it to drip down the sides to create a spooky look. add as much or as little as you like.

STEP FOUR:

Allow to dry.

STEP FIVE:

Enjoy your festive delights, pop it outside to scare off those nasty ghouls and make all of your neighbours jealous!
