DIY Hanging Jewel Gift Boxes | 12 days of Christmas crafts

Updated: Oct 12, 2020

On the fourth day of Christmas crafting, I made some sparkly jewel gift boxes!!

I'm crafting every other day in December, Today it's Day 4 of my 12 days of Christmas crafting! So today I'm bringing full Emma Jewell sparkle, by making something in my name sake- I do love a jewel!

If you want the template for these ( as well as all the other free downloads and sparkles!). Make sure you are signed up to mailing list to have it dropped straight into your inbox.

These sparkly jewels double as decorations and gift boxes for little trinkets and treats!! So you can hang them on the tree, pop them on the Christmas table or even hide them around the house for a fabulous scavenger hunt!

You will need:

-Glitter Card

-Twine

-Scissors

-Glue Gun

Step One:

Cut out the template, use it to cut the shape onto glittery card ( or any card you wish!).

Step two:

Score and fold each jewel, getting as a clean a fold as possible.

Step three:

Start gluing the gems together using the flaps to construct the gem shape.

Step five:

Take a piece of twine, fold in half and tie a knot in the end to create a loop, glue the loop in to the final flap of the gem.

To make the gem into a gift box, secure the last flap with a beautiful Washi tape and hide the gift inside!
