The new card mat enables us to be able to make quick cards and pushes our card making to the next level.

The big thing I've noticed after using my Joy is how portable it is, It's so light and small I find myself using it all over the house, I've even used it in hotel rooms! it takes up so little space! There is also the option of its super cute bag, which in my opinion is a must-have for taking it on your travels.

-Smart materials

Previously with all other Cricut machines we needed to add materials to a sticky mat to keep them in place during cutting, with the new smart materials the Cricut Joy can cut them without needing a mat! The new card mat for the Cricut Joy means that we can now cut and make cards with ease. A card blank can be folded around the card mat so that the machine will only cut the front of the card, we can then slide in a card insert to complete a card in a couple of minutes.
