I love nothing more than snuggling up to watch a Christmas film, the cheesier and more predictable the better! So it seems only right to make a special mug for the occasion using the Cricut Mug press and Cricut Infusible Ink sheets- the buffalo check black and red print couldn't be more perfect for this project!
You will need:
- Cricut Machine
Step One:
Start by opening the mug setup project in Cricut Design Space. Choose the size of the mug that you would like to use, then choose a scalloped edge for the design.
Next search for the image "This is my Christmas movie watching mug" #M313DBA11 in the Cricut Design Space Image Library and add it to the canvas, duplicate the design and line them up with the mug template. Hide the pen layer then select all and attach.
Step two:
Start by laying a sheet of infusible ink face up on the mat and loading it into the machine, make sure to mirror your design then select Infusible Ink Sheet as your material setting then start cutting.
Step three:
Once cut take the sheet off the mat and weed away the image and the edges of the mug template.
Step four:
Next, turn on and heat up your Mug press.
Then wrap your mug with the design, putting the coloured side of the sheet down onto the mug making sure it is well stuck down.
Top tip: Use heat-resistant tape to help stick down the sheet to the mug.
Put the mug into the mug press and close the lever.
Step Five:
Once pressed remove the mug from the press and allow it to cool before removing the sheet to reveal your finished mug!
Top Tip: Mugs made with Infusible Ink in the mug press are dishwasher and microwave safe!
