DIY Sausage Dog Card

Hello there!

It is Atiya here. I am super excited to share my first project as The Glittery Hands Box Design Team Member. I am pretty sure you would have known by now that the theme of April's box is PERFECT PETS. So, if you have already got the box then you have been welcomed by lots of cats and dogs.

Now let's get started. I went with the simple and easy DIY card. It is perfect for any occasion!

The box comes with the cute little dog die which I decided to use for my first project. I would also mention another great thing about it that you get scored 4x6" cards along with the colour coordinated envelopes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM! I immediately grabbed the lilac one and along with it, I found a similar coloured lilac-purple-y polka dots cardstock in my stash. Stacked them up together using a foam tape as I wanted to have a bit of the dimension.

Next, I got a white cardstock and die-cut it using a puppy die (It's so cute!). I didn't want to stick it down flat. So, I again used a foam tape for the white cardstock as well. I liked the how the patterned cardstock was peeking out through the dog.

Then, I printed 'WOOF WOOF' on a paper and used my Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade to distress it. You can also simply use a coloured paper. Afterwards, I taped it on the white cardstock to have thin borders along it and placed it just below the die-cut. After this, I cut the small string of a grey and white twine and made a little bow and glued it around the neck of the dog.

Lastly, I grabbed a pack of sequins (included in the box already) and glued down two of them. And that was it!

How simple was this? It was a super easy DIY card that can be used for any occasion or event and especially if you have any dog lovers in your family or friends circle - It is JUST perfect for them!

I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time!
